[ENG] Charlie & Bell Blues Experience are a blues duo based in Split, Croatia. They are the winners of the 13th Croatian Blues Challenge, and as such will represent Croatia at the 38th International Blues Challenge in January 2023 in Memphis, USA.

They are very frequent at blues festivals and other big blues events and have played at almost all big blues festivals in Croatia, namely:
– Split Blues Festival 2021 and 2022
– 5th Thrill blues Festival 2022
– Jerry Ricks Blues Festival 2022
– Pirovac Blues Festival 2022
– Zagreb Blues Festival
They have held a large number of very successful concerts and gigs so far, for example as a resident blues band all last winter once a week in the popular Baraka Bar in Split, they were also once a week almost the entire summer of 2021 and 2022 as a resident blues duo in the Galerija bar in the center of Split. They are also regulars at other places where blues is played, such as Old School Bar, Dreamers bar, Red Lion Pub, Tap Jaz, etc.

The music they perform is based on blues classics and original blues standards, but there are also some band originals, as well as covers of newer stuff that are adapted to the blues sound that the duo cherishes. Various variations of blues are interwoven in their interpretations, from the original Delta blues to Memphis, New Orleans, Chicago and Texas styles.

[CRO] Charlie & Bell Blues Experience su splitski blues duo. Pobjednici su 13. Croatian Blues Challengea, te će kao takvi predstavljati Hrvatsku na 38. International Blues Challengeu u siječnju 2023. u Memphisu, SAD.

Vrlo su česti na blues festivalima i drugim velikim blues događanjima te su svirali na gotovo svim velikim blues festivalima u Hrvatskoj, i to:

Do sada su održali velik broj vrlo uspješnih koncerata i svirki, primjerice kao rezidentni blues bend cijelu prošlu zimu jednom tjedno u popularnom splitskom Baraka baru, svirali i jednom tjedno gotovo cijelo ljeto 2021. i 2022. kao rezidentni blues duo u Galerija baru u centru Splita. Redoviti su i na drugim mjestima gdje se svira blues kao što su Old School Bar, Dreamers bar, Red Lion Pub, Tap Jaz itd.

Glazba koju izvode bazirana je na blues klasicima i izvornim blues standardima, ali imaju i vlastitih kompozicija, kao i obrada novijih stvari koje su obradjene i prilagođene blues zvuku koji ovaj dvojac njeguje. U njihovim interpretacijama isprepliću se različite varijacije bluesa, od izvornog Delta bluesa do stilova Memphisa, New Orleansa, Chicaga i Texasa.
