ABOUT CHARLIE & BELL
[ENG] Charlie & Bell Blues Experience are a blues roots duo based in Solin/Split, Croatia. They where the winners of the 13th Croatian Blues Challenge, and as such they represented Croatia at 39th International Blues Challenge in January 2024 in Memphis, USA
In April 2024, they performed at the 12th European Blues Challenge held in Braga, Portugal, where they achieved great success by entering the final in which the 8 best out of 22 blues acts from as many European countries performed. This opened the door and after that they got an invitation to perform at some of the big and prestigious European blues festivals, which is expected to happen in near future.
Charlie & Bell are frequent at national and international blues festivals and other big blues events, and so far played at:
- Split Blues Festival 2021, 2022 and 2024
- 13th Croatian Blues Challenge, Zagreb 2021
- 5th Thrill blues festival 2022
- Jerry Ricks Blues Festival 2022
- Pirovac Blues Festival 2022, 2023 and 2024
- Cittanova Blues Festival challenge 2023
- Memphis, USA - 39th International Blues Challenge Jan 2024
- Portugal, Braga - 12th European Blues Challenge April 2024 (FINALIST)
- Ludbreg Blues Festival May 2024
- Solin (Salona) Blues Festival Aug 2024
When not performing at blues festivals, Charlie & Bell are very active on the local and national scene. They are particularly active and popular on the Split and Dalmatian blues scene and are frequent guests at places where blues is played and listened to, such as Old School blues & rock bar (Split), Baraka Bar (Split), Art Gallery bar (Split), Dreamers bar (Split), Rock Pork (Kaštela), Red Lion Pub (Kaštela), K2 (Viganj, Pelješac), Harats Bar (Split), Charlie's Bar (Split), Tap Jaz (Biograd). Hard Place (Zagreb), Booze & Blues (Zagreb), Melin (Zagreb), etc
The music they perform is based on blues roots classics and original blues standards, but they also have own songs (Album cooming soon). As well they play covers of newer songs that are adapted to the blues sound that this duo play. Different variations of the blues are intertwined in their interpretations, from the original Delta blues to the styles of Memphis, New Orleans, Chicago and Texas.

[CRO] Charlie & Bell Blues Experience su root blues duo bazirani u Solinu/Splitu. Pobjednici su 13. Croatian Blues Challengea, te su kao takvi predstavljali Hrvatsku na 39th International Blues Challenge u sječnje 2024 u Memphisu, SAD.
U travnju 2024 nastupili su na 12th European Blues Challenge održanom u Bragi, Portugal, gdje su polučili odličan uspjeh ušavši u finale među 8 najboljih od 22 izvođača iz toliko europskih država. To je otvorilo vrata i posle toga su dobili invitaciju za nastupe na nekima od velikih i prestiżnih europskih blues festivala, te se to očekuje u skoroj budućnosti.
Charlie & Bell su česti gosti na nacionalnim i internacionalnim blues festivalima i drugim prestižnim blues događanjima, te su do sada nastupali na:
